We also celebrate the renewal of our democratic ideals and spirit as we honor our veterans and their sacrifices for freedom, as well as the sacrifices of our men and women in uniform who each day preserve, protect and defend us as a nation.

Jazz pianist/composer extraordinaire Pamela Hines offers up a soulful evening of jazz originals from her new release, “Lucky’s Boy.” Guest vocalist April Hall (“a voice of honey and smoke,” says The Boston Globe), has been the voice to many of Hines’s tunes since 2004. Bassist Justin Meyer and drummer Les Harris Jr. round out the trio.

A night of twentieth century Russian masterpieces by Mussorgsky, Shostakovich, and Prokofiev with superb violinist Irina Muresanu.  The program will include Mussorgsky’s “Sunrise” from Khovantchina, Shostakovich’s Symphony, No. 15, and Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto, No. 2.  A pre-concert talk will begin at 6:45 pm with Maestro Hangen.  After the concert, enjoy complimentary coffee and desserts, plus a lively Q&A with Maestro Hangen and guests.
